Anthropologist Su Girigori
from Curaçao

Su Girigori (Curaçao) is an anthropologist and specializes in cultural and ethnic identity of People of African Descent. As a researcher, her work focuses on the development and human rights issues within the African Diaspora and thus contributes to the protection and promotion of civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights of people of African descent in their respective countries. Since 2013 she became a collaborator of the UN Office of the High Commissioner on Human Rights [OHCHR] and became a 2014 Fellow for the Working Group of Experts on People of African Descent. In 2015 she became a Human Rights Officer for the OHCHR and a Senior Fellow for the Working Group of Experts on People of African Descent.
