Rosalind Martina-Faneyte,retired teacher, founder and leader of youth choirs and pastoral worker in Curaçao

WILLEMSTAD – Rosalind Martina-Faneyte is the 9th Outstanding Woman honored during the 11th annual Women Conference in Curaçao.This happened on Sunday December 21, during the About Women Evaluating conference at the luxurious Acoya Hotel in the presence of a great group of women.Rosalind Martina was born in Curaçao on February 27, 1940 and worked for 25 years as a teacher at the Roman Catholic basic school St. Paulus College in Groot Kwartier and after that she worked and pitched in on many schools on the island. Among her lifetime activities are that she is a Pastoral Cooperator in the Catholic Church of Groot Kwartier, member of the music group "Champagne", led Youth Choir: Angel Voices for 29 years, played volleyball and softball, she is a scout, member of a charismatic group, worked for years with the nuns preparing food packages for the less fortunate and still  trains catholic youngsters for their Confirmation and their Holy Communion next to helping children who need extra lessons to get better grades.Next to all this she is a respected wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

The 2014 Outstanding Woman received the prize, a unique piece of art high heel shoe.
